How to Set Up FAME for Skills Import

Watch this short video to see how to set up the one-time Academic Import Cross Reference within Freedom.

This section walks you through a one-time mapping process that will allow the FAME Skills report from CourseKey to be uploaded into Freedom so the items/tallies get mapped to the student report cards.

Academic Import Cross Reference

To set up the skills/tallies import mapping, you will need access to the Academic Import Cross Reference section under Maintenance. If you do not have access to this section, please work with your administration to get access or have someone that does have access set up this mapping.

Step 1. Open Freedom and under Maintenance, click on the Academic Import Cross Reference.

Step 2: Select the Program and Version in the drop-downs.

Important: if you are currently using more than one version, you will need to do the mapping under each version.

Step 3: Click the New page icon to add a new row.

Step 4: Copy the first Import Code from the spreadsheet you used when setting up your tracking list items. If the list was created already, the code you need is listed under the SISID for each item . Then open the drop down on the same row in the Course Work Grades column and select the appropriate section where the skill should be mapped to within Freedom.

Step 5: Click the Save icon. 

Important: make sure you click the save icon after each row entry.

Step 6: Repeat steps 3-5 for the remaining SISID skill codes making sure that you click the save icon after every entry.

Step 7: Repeat steps 2-6 for the other programs/versions that you need to have mapped.

Important: if you are currently using more than one version, you will need to do the mapping under each version.
