Admin Management of Student CourseKey Accounts
In the CourseKey Admin Portal school administrators can access student information such as their course list and contact information. Depending on the configurations and permissions at your school/campus admins can have the ability to edit students emails or school ID numbers as well as view and edit individual attendance data. In this article we will provide an overview of the navigation in user management.
Student Management
School administrators with permissions can access the Student Management feature within their CourseKey account. To access select the Students tab in the left navigation bar.
The initial view in user management will include a table of all student accounts associated with the schools/campuses that you have permission to view. At the top of the table you can quickly search through all students by name, school/campus, student ID number, or email address. To browse through the list click on the left or right arrow at the bottom of the table, or increase the rows per page.
Student Account Details
Click on a student's name to view their account information. In the secondary navigation you'll find two options, Courses and Student Info along with the student's name and profile photo. Select Student Info to view additional information including the campuses associated with their account, and their student ID number(s).
At the bottom of the student is the date of the most recently recorded check-in for attendance (including both student check-ins and adjustments) across any course the student is enrolled in.
Send an Email
Click on the email address in the student details to open a new outgoing email using your default mail client.
Edit Account Information
Some schools will have the option to allow administrators to edit a students account information. If available, click the green Edit Info button to display the Edit Student Info pop-up. Enter any corrections to the student's name, email address or student ID and Save Changes.
Note:
Editing student information can affect your student data transfer and/or integration. Please contact your account manager with any questions on how it will impact your school/campus.
Course List
Selecting Courses from the secondary navigation will display an overview of all courses that the student has been enrolled in inside CourseKey (with the exception of archived courses).
The course tile will display the course name, title, dates, along with the course/student status: In Progress, Completed, Scheduled or Dropped. On the right hand side of the course tile is an indicator of the student's attendance progress in the course. The percentage displayed is the proportion of time (or points) that the student has completed when compared to the total available time (or points) that have been scheduled for the course (including future sessions).
Attendance Details
Clicking on a course will display all attendance information for the selected student. From the course attendance you can easily dive deeper in to the details of each session and for clock hour attendance adjustments can be made directly in the Admin portal.
