Adjustment Wizard Common Use Cases
Understanding the reason behind the adjustment will guide you through the Wizard, making it easy to select the correct option for each situation. Did the student check-in late? Did the student forget to check-out? Let’s review a few common scenarios along with the Wizard steps needed to resolve the student’s records.
A. Edit Check-in to the start of class.
“We started class on time, but there was some trouble with the internet and students were not able to check-in on time. When the internet was fixed they were eventually able to check-in about 6 or 7 minutes later. While the students are working on their project I want to make an adjustment to ensure that they receive their time from the beginning of class”
1. From the Attendance tab select all students who are checked “in”.
2. When the button appears, click Adjust.
3. When the Wizard opens, select ‘Edit Check-in”.
4. Select “Start of Class”.
5. Save.
B. Edit a student’s check-out time.
“Evan checked in when he arrived at class, but he had to leave early for a family emergency. When reviewing the attendance list I noticed that he did not check out before he left.”
1. When viewing Evan's transaction record click Adjust.
2. Select Edit Check-Out.
3. Select ‘Overide Time’.
4. Enter the time that the student/s left.
5. Save.
C. Award Full Time
“Marion forgot his phone today and forgot to mention it until after class was over. I know he arrived before class started and stayed until the end”
1. Select the checkbox next to Marion on the Attendance tab.
2. When the button appears, click Adjust.
3. When the Wizard opens, select ‘Award Full Time’.
4. Save.
D. Check students out after class.
“We had an exciting class today, and many students continued to discuss among themselves after class. The check-out grace period ended and I noticed that many of those students had not yet checked-out. ”
1. From the Attendance tab select all students who are checked “in”.
2. When the button appears, click 'Adjust'.
3. When the Wizard opens, select ‘Edit Check-Out'.
4. Select 'End of Class'.
5. Save.
