How to Edit Attendance Records for Points Based Classes
Locating an Attendance List
1. Locate the Attendance tab within your Course.
2. Toggle to view Completed Attendance sessions.
3. Navigate to the attendance session you would like to make edits to and click on the three vertical dots for More Options.
4. Click Attendance List.
Refreshing the Attendance List
When viewing a current attendance session status changes will update in near real-time. However, if it is needed the list can be updated manually by clicking on the refresh icon the in top right corner.
Updating an Attendance Status
In the attendance list page, each student's status will be marked on the radio buttons as On Time, Late (if enabled for that attendance session), or Absent.
To adjust a student's status, click the radio button in the appropriate column. A timestamp will be generated with each adjustment and displayed in the student details.
Note: If you have a long list of students you can search for a student's name quickly by using the search bar in the top right corner of the attendance list page. You can also sort through the list of students by clicking on the up and down arrows in the Student Name column.
View Status Adjustment Details for Each Student
From the Attendance List page, you can click on an individual student's name for the details of that session. In the summary at the top, you'll see the Awarded Points and the current Status (On Time, Late, or Absent).
The details below will list each time the status was changed. If the student checked-in using their own device the event will indicate the status, the student's name, and a timestamp when the event occurred.
If the status was changed manually by an instructor or administrator the faculty member's name will be listed and a blue adjustment flag will be located next to the event.
